Shared resources

Each month, the Initiative focuses its activities around a theme. Informative / useful resources will often be shared as part of this so use this page to check back on resources shared in previous months.

January - mid-February 2016 - NEW BEGINNINGS.

In January, we welcomed new students - the new intake registered to complete the PG Diploma in Child/Child Critical Care Nursing programme and the first ever intake registered to complete the two year Professional Masters in Nursing. See more.

Mid- February - March 2016 - CARING FOR SELVES AS CARERS

In February/March, we asked you to consider how you care for yourselves as carers of others. See more.

April 2016 - INFECTION CONTROL AND HAND HYGIENE

In April, we remind ourselves of the importance of hand hygiene in the clinical setting and support World TB awareness day on 24th  March. See more.

Remember...“Hand hygiene contributes significantly to keeping patients safe. It is a simple, low-cost action to prevent the spread of many of the microbes that cause health care-associated infections (HAI). While hand hygiene is not the only measure to counter HAI, compliance with it alone can dramatically enhance patient safety” (WHO)
