The biennial Building Children's Nursing for Africa (BCN) conference, hosted by the Child Nurse Practice Development Initiative, in collaboration with Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital, is a participative conference for nurses who work with children, newborn to adolescents, and their families, to consider and celebrate their contribution to excellence in care.
This conference stands as a clear example of the Initiative's ongoing dedication to the goal of Building strong and sustainable system capacity, in particular through the establishment of a dynamic community of child health nursing leaders, educators, researchers and practitioners across Africa.
The most recent conference was held in April 2019, themed 'Constructs of Care'. Hosted with a strong African theme and a designed to very deliberately facilitate collegial conversations, it was another great success. To read more about this conference click here.
