Natasha began her professional life as a nurse in clinical practice in the United Kingdom. A deepening interest in health policy led her to complete a BA (Hons) in Social Policy at Goldsmiths College, University of London, followed by work in policy development and research with leading healthcare institutes and foundations in the United Kingdom, including the King’s Fund, the Health Foundation, and the national Department of Health.
Moving to South Africa four years ago gave Natasha the opportunity to add a new dimension to her awareness of the issues and the global policy environment affecting nurses and nursing. Since 2015 Natasha has been the Research Programme Director for the Child Nurse Practice Development Initiative. Natasha’s work centres on developing the systems and capacity to accurately monitor the growing children’s nursing workforce in Africa.
